Lost Soul in a flat and sky-filled land with nothing to protect me but an M.A.

Thought Provoking!!

Alright, I have two sites that I am sure will initiate some discussion.

First, for all those people who need a little reminder how different models actually look in person. Check this out this is how a photographer retouches a fashion model with average-level looks and converts her into a knockout bombshell Cover Girl. Click on the magazine then the spot that says "unveil the fraud". I am trying to figure out which change was the creepiest. (though it might be the boobs)

Second, a little fun timewaster for all the Jedi out there. (Note: You may be prompted for a username and password twice, so here: username: bk password: int3rna1r3v13w)

My favorite is when The King comes out and whispers in Vader's ear.

the password didn't work for me when I finally got to the page...on anther note that photo retouching is awesome, and makes me feel better about myself already, Thanks!

i've seen something similar on tv, i think it was a dove commercial. i don't know about you ladies, but i had NO breasts at 14, let alone size D. i think the creepiest part is the age of a model appearing on a cover of cosmopolitan. last time i checked the average reader of that mag was in the 25-35 box. does this mean that it is a different box now?
mind you 14 year olds today could probably show me tricks i've never even heard of, let alone performed.
funny, how easy it is to rant about this stuff.
i also wonder, how crapy the photographers for those mags have to be to shoot photos which need so much retouching. this indeed makes me feel better about...my photographing skills:-)
thanks for the afternoon brain twitch, Carrie.

So you are awesome. You made me feel pretty. But I was also depressed at the notion that these ideas of beauty are enough to depress me! Plus the idea that so many people live their lives wanting that perfect girl, or wanting to be that perfect girl, which doesn't actually exist (just in our torturous, torturous minds). And when I start to think like this I get sad and my brain hurts, and when that happens, what is the best remedy? That's right, anything to so with Star Wars, therefore in conclusion, you are great on many levels.

If you guys are still having trouble with the password, here's some advice.
The user and password have to be entered twice for some odd reason, and don't include the bracket at the end of the password.

I love the Vader but he couldn't guess what I was thinking of the 1st time. He asked me something like 40 questions and then made me just tell him. Also, the retouched picture of that blonde looks flat, as in it has no depth to it.
