Platform 9 and 3/4 Please!!
Here are a few more pictures of the train we took to Toronto. This is part of the uncomfortable sleep.
The view into our car from one of the fun spots in-between the cars. These spots a rather noisy, cold and unstable making it a little tricky to walk through. Plus I had a little trouble opening the doors, so I usually made Cara go through first.
This is the dinning car (not set up for eating yet). Unfortunately, all I could eat at it was breakfast. Though I must admit, Jules was a very nice waiter/host and gave me deals on the meal because I didn't get the toast, or ham with my eggs.
This is the domed observation car. If the picture was looking the other direction (ie. forward), then you can all see how the front window was shattered and not very transparent anymore. That's what you get in "comfort economy"/peasant class.
This is below the observation car. Cara and I played checkers here, and yes I did beat her prooving once and for all that Cara can actually lose at a game of something. I was and still am very proud.
The interesting part (for all you Harry Potter fans), is that when we finally arrived in Toronto we got off onto the platform between 9 and 10. That was my only real direct similarity between my train trip and that of the Hogwarts Express.
